History
Our amateur group, Nagisa Taiko, has been
performing Taiko (Japanese traditional drum)
since 1990. We began with just a few members;
however, we have grown to our present size
due to the support of friends and the citizens
of Nagisa New Town where we reside. Our devotion
to this musical form has earned us the respect
of the local townspeople and we are invited
to participate in many events as following
representative example.
<1990>
- Activity of Nagisa Taiko began.
<1991>
- TV appearance for live broadcast by Tokyo
Broadcasting Service (TBS).
<1992>
- Kirin Whisky Festival in their Gotemba
plant.
<1993>
- Appearance on the video for the PR of Japanese
culture edited by Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
which was translated into Chinese, French,
English and many other languages, and broadcasted
in 120 countries.
<1994>
- Campus festival of Toyo university.
<1995>
- Tokyo Consumer's Festival in the Tokyo
Metropolitan Government Office park.
<1996>
- The International Goodwill Program 1996
for US & Japan in Toride city.
<1997>
- Encouragement meeting for Toyo University
track and field team, for their participation
to World Track and Field championship and
Hakone Ekiden race.
<1998>
- Party of the major electric company at
Hitachi Narashino Plant.
<1999>
- Kasai sports day at the Edogawa stadium
in Edogawa city, Tokyo.
<2000>
- Nagisa Taiko 10th anniversary concert at
the Edogawa city hall in Tokyo.
<2001>
- Radio station live event by FM Edogawa
at Fuji Park in Kasai, Tokyo.
<2002>
- New York Taiko concert 2002 in New York
City, USA.
<2003>
- The event for the 400th anniversary of
transfer of the capital to Tokyo at Triton
Square in Harumi, Tokyo.
- The 25th Study Tour of Japan for European
Youth produced by the Japanese Ministry of
Foreign Affairs.
- Opening performance at the SEMICON Japan
2003 at Makuhari Messe Exhibition Halls,
Chiba.

- Opening performance at the 29th International
Conference on Animal Genetics in Meiji University,
Tokyo.
- The 26th Study Tour of Japan for European
Youth produced by the Japanese Ministry of
Foreign Affairs.

- Nagisa Taiko 15th anniversary concert at
